Adapteo donates modular homes to families and individuals in Ukraine

Adapteo is donating 68 modular units to Ukraine, creating urgently needed homes for internally displaced Ukrainians. These adaptable spaces offer security and flexibility to individuals and families in urgent need, with the ability to be relocated and repurposed as communities rebuild.

Stockholm, Sweden. Adapteo is taking concrete action to support Ukraine during these challenging times by donating 68 building modules or 2,722 m2 of space. These buildings will serve as temporary housing for Ukrainians displaced by the ongoing war, offering practical and immediate support where it is needed most.

Our modular homes are designed with flexibility and reuse in mind, ensuring they can be adapted to meet the changing needs of communities. We hope these units will provide displaced Ukrainians not only with immediate shelter, but with a foundation for rebuilding their lives,” said Johanna Persson, President and CEO, Adapteo Group.

Adapteo is collaborating with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) to ensure the timely and secure delivery of these units. Once delivered, the local authorities in Ukraine, along with architects and agencies, will modify and refurbish these modules to best serve the specific needs of those displaced by war.

"MSB's role is to act as the link between Adapteo and the Emergency Response Coordination Center (ERCC), as a part of the EU civil protection mechanism (EUCPM). We are ensuring that these much-needed modular homes go to a designated hub in Poland, where the EU will take over for the final leg of the journey to reach the people of Ukraine.” says Johan Rosenfeldt, Project Manager at MSB.
